Experiment" took place at the Large Ensemble Room, the 2nd Building,
Nagoya University of Arts' East Campus at 3:00pm on Thursday, April 10.
The main topic of the experiment was on audio transmission by ethernet, coaxial cables, and optical fiber which has been widespreading rapidly in the fields of sound engineering, relaying, and recording. Specialists of stage sound engineering, audio broadcasting, and recording in the Central Japan region assembled together, and representatives from manufacturers gave presentations on formats, advantages and disadvantages of transmission specifications, including DANTE, DigitalSnake, RAVENNA, MADI, SoundGrid. In the second half of the seminar, a comparative experiment on sound quality and delay was conducted using the identical sound sources, and it turned out to be very productive siminar.
The seminar became possible with participation of the many people in the
fields of broadcasting and stage sound engineering in the Central Japan
region and cooperation by many manufacturers. We would like to thank all
